Week 2: Draping & Pattern Making
- Draping: Learning the art of draping fabric on a dress form to create garment designs.
- Pattern Making: Understanding the process of creating patterns from draped designs or flat sketches.
- Garment Construction: Introduction to basic garment construction techniques.
- Project 2: Basic Garment Construction: Create a simple garment from a basic pattern.
Outcome: Proficiency in draping, pattern making, and basic garment construction.
Week 3: Fashion Illustration & Technical Drawing
- Fashion Illustration: Developing advanced fashion illustration skills to create stylized drawings of garments.
- Technical Drawing: Creating accurate technical drawings (flats) for garment production.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Introduction to CAD software for fashion design.
- Project 3: Fashion Illustration & Technical Drawing Project: Create a fashion illustration and technical drawing for a garment design.
Outcome: Knowledge of fashion illustration and technical drawing techniques.
Week 4: Textile Science & Fabric Selection
- Textile Science: Understanding different types of fabrics, their properties, and their suitability for various garments.
- Fabric Selection: Choosing appropriate fabrics for specific designs based on their characteristics and aesthetic qualities.
- Sustainable Fashion: Introduction to sustainable practices in fashion design and fabric selection.
- Project 4: Fabric Selection Project: Select appropriate fabrics for a set of garment designs.

Week 5: Design Development & Collection Creation
- Design Development: Refining initial design ideas and developing a cohesive collection.
- Collection Planning: Planning a fashion collection, including themes, target audience, and garment selection.
- Portfolio Development: Building a professional fashion design portfolio.
- Project 5: Mini Collection Development: Develop a mini fashion collection based on a chosen theme.

Week 6: Final Project & Career Prep
- Project 6: Final Fashion Design Project: Develop a complete fashion collection, including sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, and sample garments.
